Lovely place with a beautiful view of the countryside. the room was cozy with a comfy bed. the breakfast was delicious and filling. the hosts were friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for nearby activities. the property had many cute animals that we enjoyed feeding and playing with. the location was perfect for our romantic escape, offering peace and quiet away from the city. It was also conveniently located near hiking trails and wineries.
The shower water was not consistently hot, making it difficult to wash properly. We found a lot of bugs in the room, which was quite annoying.

Colleen is simply amazing, going above and beyond for our little boy with the Harry Potter room. The spacious and beautifully decorated suite was jaw-dropping, with a super deep bath and breathtaking mountain view. The property is surrounded by adorable rescue animals and the breakfast, especially Colleen's scrambled eggs, is a must-do. Clive, the lovely and chatty host, topped off our mind-blowing stay. Score more than 10/10!

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Rua Resort. The hosts welcomed us with open arms, even though we arrived late at night. The resort itself felt like a castle on a hill, with its bright welcoming lights shining in the darkness. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing us with a peaceful night's sleep. The highlight of our stay was the delicious and freshly prepared breakfast that was served to us. We also had the opportunity to interact with the friendly hosts and other guests, making our experience even more enjoyable. The resort's domestic animals were a hit with our son, who learned a lot about their behavior and care-taking. We will definitely be returning to Rua Resort during our frequent trips between Auckland and Wanganui/Palmerston North. we highly recommend this hidden gem!

We recently stayed at a lovely hideaway located on top of a hill that provided stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. the location was conveniently located just down from a picturesque New Zealand temple. the friendly hosts made us feel right at home with their warm and caring service. Our spacious room was tastefully decorated, and the comfortable bed provided a peaceful night's sleep. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread that offered plenty of options to suit every palate. the property also housed a number of charming farm animals that added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The property lacked adequate water pressure in the bathroom.

Great views! The landscape outside was stunning, and it really made our weekend enjoyable. Another thing we appreciated was the comfortable rooms. We were able to sleep well and were cozy during our stay. The free breakfast was also a nice touch and kept us energized for the day ahead.
Communication was poor, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping us. It really put a damper on our experience, and we would not stay here again.
